Qualifications:
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.Specialized Experience:
For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Providing technical leadership and direction to a team of Java developers, technical leads, and software test engineers to ensure secure application design, development, and maintenance aligned with industry best practices in security policies and requirements; AND
- Applying secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices-Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid-to ensure application development aligns with industry best practices in security, architecture, and technical issue resolution; AND
- Leading enterprise level software design and implementation initiatives to ensure secure development practices and compliance with applicable security and privacy requirements.
In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.
Responsibilities:
This position is located at Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB),Assistant Administrator - Information Resources - CIO.As a Software Application Security & Assurance, you will:
- Represent TTB as the secure software application expert and consultant on Government-wide, Departmental committees, and working groups to develop the appropriate IT policy initiatives and solutions to critical Information System Security and Privacy issues.
- Ensure the security of mission-critical custom applications through secure application design, development and maintenance for the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB).
- Provide the long-term vision, planning, and investment oversight of technology to be deployed at TTB to better support the Bureau's mission.
- Coordinate with TTB, the Department of the Treasury and Bureau of Fiscal Services (BFS) Contracting Officer(s) to acquire information technology services to support the development of systems that support TTBs mission.
