What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Technician position at Assistance Plus?
Assistance Plus is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented entry level IT Technician to join our team in Benton, Maine. This is a full time (40 hours per week) position.
As an entry level IT Technician, this position will play a vital role in maintaining our IT infrastructure and providing technical support to our staff. This position is responsible for setting up laptop computers, managing files and folders, and supporting Active Directory, Exchange Mail, and SharePoint systems. Further responsibilities also include basic networking tasks, Windows and hardware troubleshooting, and ensuring data security.
Duties include:
- Setting up and configuring laptop computers for employees
- Managing files and folders efficiently
- Providing support for Active Directory, Exchange Mail, and SharePoint
- Troubleshooting and resolving Windows and hardware issues
- Maintaining a strong understanding of data security best practices
- Assisting with basic networking tasks
- Providing technical support to staff as needed
- Lifting and transporting equipment (up to 50 lbs)
- Providing on-site support to all employees
- Building forms in CareVoyant
- Troubleshooting staff concerns with documentation software
- Building forms for employee use
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications:Position Requirements:
- Proof of vehicle insurance at $50K/$100K and a valid Maine driver’s license are required
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associate's Degree preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of data security principles
- Basic networking knowledge
- Experience with Windows and hardware troubleshooting
- Knowledge of CareVoyant application is a plus
- Ability to life up to 50lbs
- Understanding of network printing and scanning
- Knowledge of RDP environments and thin clients is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
