Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team in Lancaster, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience in Primary Care (PCP), be DOT certified, and possess strong phlebotomy skills. Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply. Experience with e-Clinical Works is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient care in a Primary Care setting.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures accurately and safely.
- Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
- Maintain patient records and update electronic health records (EHR), preferably using e-Clinical Works.
- Ensure compliance with DOT certification requirements and protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, including bilingual communication when applicable.
- Prepare exam rooms and assist with clinical procedures as needed.
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Primary Care (PCP) setting required.
- Current DOT certification required.
- Phlebotomy certification and proven experience performing blood draws.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with e-Clinical Works or similar EHR systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
