Assignment Desk, a national video production company based in Charleston, SC, is looking for a Production Coordinator to join our team.
We help major sports networks, news organizations, entertainment companies, and corporate clients produce video shoots across the country. Our job is ensuring the right crews, equipment, and logistics come together, often on tight deadlines.

This is a logistics and operations role, similar to the Assignment Desk at a TV news station. You will help book camera crews, coordinate video shoots across the country, and keep communication flowing between clients, crews, and our internal production team. This job is fast-paced, deadline driven, and detail heavy.
This is not a creative role. You won’t be editing. You won’t be directing shoots. You won’t be traveling to set. Instead, you’ll be the person making the shoots happen behind the scenes. There is also an on-call rotation, because in television and production things happen outside normal business hours and in all timezones.
- Coordinate video shoots for clients across the WorldBook camera crews, field producers, audio technicians and equipmentNegotiate crew rates and confirm shoot requirementsCommunicate with clients, crews, and production staff throughout the production processWork under tight deadlines and high-pressure booking situationsResearch and source qualified crew members nationwideTrack invoices and assist with entering invoices into our accounting systemMaintain databases of crew, clients, and project informationAssist in marketing the company through social media, promotions, giveaways, and outreach
This role supports the Executives and Production Staff. This position is 100% in person in our Mount Pleasant, SC office.

Helpful but not required:
- Knowledge of video production, freelance production, or broadcast newsMarketing or sales experiencePrior experience in television, film, or media production
