Job Title: Vice President /Business Development Manager – Retail Consulting Services
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Professional to drive growth for our retail consulting services. This role focuses on generating new business opportunities and expanding client relationships across services that include retail design, construction management, and lease administration consulting. The ideal candidate is a proactive “hunter” who thrives on identifying new opportunities, building strong face to face relationships, and representing the company in client meetings, industry events, and conferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the retail sector.
- Promote and sell consulting services including retail design, construction oversight, and lease administration management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail brands, developers, landlords, and industry partners.
- Conduct proactive outreach including cold calls, networking, and prospect meetings to build a strong pipeline of opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to generate leads and strengthen market presence.
- Collaborate with internal teams (design, construction, and operations) to develop customized solutions for clients.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and service offerings.
- Maintain regular communication with prospects and clients to understand needs and position services effectively.
- Track and manage sales activities, opportunities, and pipeline progress.
- Stay informed on retail industry trends, market developments, and competitive offerings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or consulting services, ideally within retail, commercial real estate, construction, or design industries.
- Demonstrated success in prospecting, cold calling, and closing new business opportunities.
- Strong network within retail, real estate, or development sectors is a plus.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to confidently represent the company in client meetings, conferences, and networking events.
- Self-starter mentality with a strong hunter mindset and results-driven approach.
