What are the responsibilities and job description for the Investment Analyst position at Asset Management?
The primary role of the Investment Analyst will consist of conducting in-depth industry and company research and performing fundamental equity valuation analysis. The Investment Analyst will report directly to the Portfolio Manager.ResponsibilitiesOrganize and conduct analysis of industry fundamentals and trends to assess impact on sectors and companies under coverage.Formulate bottom-up company fundamental inputs and in-depth models in order to arrive at a firm view on valuation.Analyze company and industry news quickly and concisely and convey information to portfolio manager.Present and defend investment recommendations on individual companies to portfolio manager. QualificationsIdeal candidate resides in Westchester County, Southern Connecticut, or Northern New Jersey.Highest ethical and moral standards.2-4 years of equity research experience.Excellent qualitative and quantitative research skills.Excellent communication skills both in written and verbal forms, including an ability to formulate a well-reasoned, evidence-based argument.Creative thinker with innate intellectual curiosity and a demonstrated interest in investing.Enthusiastic and proactive individual who is motivated by adding value and delivering superior results to the organization.Team player who appreciates the contribution of colleagues and maintains a positive attitude in a high-performance culture.
