What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Assembler position at Assay Technology?
A small Livermore company seeks an energetic, reliable person for assembly and packaging of environmental test kits in a friendly, small-company environment. The schedule would most likely be 7:00am to 3:30pm M-F. Person must have a “can-do” attitude and have good interpersonal skills. Requirements include high school education (or AA), the ability to communicate, the ability to lift 25-30 lbs., follow instructions, and use simple equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform kit assembly and packaging in accordance with oral and written instructions
- Assemble all inventory as needed per project specifications
- Completes projects and tasks on time
- Assists with documentation updates and improvements
- Operates manufacturing equipment including: counting scale, ink jet printer, label printer, die-cutter, and pouching machines
- Complete work orders, inventory requisitions
- Complete manufacturing history records as needed*
REQUIREMENTS
- Attention to detail and quality
- Ability to stay focused on tasks
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while sitting and standing
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to stand for long periods of time as needed
- Ability to lift 25-30 lbs from different heights
- Good communication skills highly desired
