What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mill Operator position at assaabloy?
Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Roll Form Mill Operator. This position will be responsible for the roll form operations and equipment of the mill to insure continuous operation during the shift. This will be a 2nd shift position; Monday - Friday, 3:00pm to 1:30am.
What you will be doing:
- Safety, quality, priorities above all
- Focus on the keeping the mill operational
- Maintain clean, safe ,organized work area, 5S
- Cross Training of team members on parts programming and mill set ups
- TPM of process and equipment in the area
- Coordinate daily and weekly activities with department supervisor
- Perform visual and manual quality checks of finished products.
- Minimize scrap
- Work with maintenance hands on to get issues resolved in a timely manner.
The skills and experience you need:
Education:
- High school or equivalent
Experience:
- Experience in using special measuring devices, calipers, tape measure.
- Must be able to navigate, set up equipment controller for proper operation and parts programming.
- Roll Tooling experience with set ups and change over.
- Change out press dies, cut off jaws, blades, and refill oil levels of equipment.
- Demonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames
- Good Mechanical Aptitude
- Forklift and overhead crane certification
- Experience with Robot programming
Other:
- Must be able to document down time through seamless reporting system to drive KPI tracking
- Good communication skills with coworkers to insure continuous flow of the mill and material handler for proper tagging of product.
- Ability to think and react to schedule changes and conditions on the mill.
- Ability to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement activities.
This role is located in Tulsa, OK.
