What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cut Off Operator position at assaabloy?
Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Cutoff Operator. This position will be responsible for the operation of the cut off equipment of the tube mill to insure continuous operation during the shift. This is a 2nd Shift position. Monday - Thursday, 3:00pm to 1:30am.
What you will be doing:
- Safety, quality, priorities above all
- Focus on the keeping the mill operational
- Maintain clean, safe ,organized work area, 5S Cross Training of team members on parts programming and mill set upsTPM of process and equipment in the area.
- Coordinate daily and weekly activities with department supervisor
- Perform visual and manual quality checks of finished products.
- Minimize scrap
- Work with maintenance hands on to get issues resolved in a timely manner.
The skills and experience you need:
- High School diploma or GED Equivalent
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Experience in using special measuring devices, micrometer, calipers, tape measure
- Must be able to read set up charts supplied by OEM and interpret them to roll tooling adjustments.
- Change out cut off jaws, blades, and refill oil levels of equipment
- Demonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames of scheduling
- Must be able to document down time through seamless reporting system to drive KPI tracking
- Good communication skills with coworkers to insure continuous flow of the mill and material handler for proper tagging of product
- Ability to think and react to schedule changes and conditions on the mill
- Ability to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement activities
This role is located in Tulsa, OK.
