An Amazing Career Opportunity for a Commodity Manager Specialist!!

Location: Austin, TX or Eden Prairie, MN

Job ID: 43277

The Commodity Manager (NAM) will be responsible for overseeing direct HID Secure Issuance’s North American supply base, managing indirect nominated suppliers that support HID’s contract manufacturers across multiple printer-related commodities (cables, rollers, PCAs, packaging, molded plastic parts).

This individual will serve as the primary liaison between the regional supplier base and global manufacturing partners, balancing day-to-day procurement activity with strategic initiatives such as supplier sourcing, cost optimization, contract negotiation, and performance management. Success in this role requires not only procurement expertise, but also a strong technical mindset - the ability to engage in supplier process reviews, interpret product specifications, and support quality or manufacturability investigations.

With broad visibility across direct and indirect hardware suppliers, the Commodity Manager (NAM) plays a key part in enabling regional sourcing strategies, ensuring supply chain resilience, and preparing for future insourcing initiatives as business needs evolve. The ideal candidate is confident engaging cross-functionally with engineering and supplier quality teams and will be expected to travel regionally to develop supplier relationships and support continuous improvement efforts.
