What would you do as our Technical Support and Training Specialist?
In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and training for both internal teams and external partners. Responsibilities include offering product guidance, interpreting codes and certifications, and consulting on specifications and applications. The position also delivers training on a wide range of technical topics to enhance product knowledge and application.
You would also:
- Provide technical consultation to sales/service teams, customers, architects, and engineering groups.
- Manage revisions and updates for training materials, websites, correspondence courses, and customer-facing content.
- Partner with Operations, IT, and Engineering to develop and maintain product standards and test protocols.
- Apply deep knowledge of Ceco products, applications, codes, and fire ratings to recommend compliant solutions.
- Deliver technical support, certification letters, and job-specific conformance documentation.
- Gather and share sales insights from architects and contractors with DSS sales agencies and distributors.
- Stay current on new product launches and translate product knowledge into training or support as needed.
- Develop, deliver, and continuously improve training programs for internal teams, distributors, and sales agencies.
- Create training content aligned with strategic goals, including new product/service introductions.
- Present sales training techniques and adjust delivery to audience needs.
- Manage training budgets and obtain approvals for key educational initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Assure compliance with federal state, local and corporate policies, regulations, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
The Skills and Experience you need
:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience (required).
- AHC/CDC certification (preferred).
- 5 years' experience in sales, customer service, or engineering within relevant industries.
- 3–5 years in sales education or technical training.
- Strong understanding of product specifications, installation practices, compliance standards, test methods, order processing, and hardware applications.
- Knowledge of hollow metal industry standards (SDI and HMMA/NAAMM).
- Familiarity with building codes, certifications, and fire labeling (preferred).
- Experience supporting architectural, contractor, or customer service teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for varied audiences.
- Strong presentation and training development skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with urgency.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and modern training/presentation tools.
