This role will sit on-site in New Haven, CT reporting to the Profit Center General Manager.
What You Will Be Doing
- Participate in Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and process optimization projects across multiple sites
- Provide Industrial Engineering support, improving throughput, efficiency, material flow, and layout
- Identify and drive cost reduction and productivity opportunities across labor, material, and capital investments
- Support standardized work development and deployment
- Evaluate current processes and recommend equipment, tooling, and layout improvements to increase capacity and efficiency
- Partner on CAPEX projects, including justification, equipment selection, layout design, and implementation support
- Maintain a strong Gemba presence, working directly with operators, supervisors, and site leaders to drive sustainable operational improvements
- Support cross-functional collaboration
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate policies, AADG programs, and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement tools, including Kaizen events and project leadership
- Demonstrated success driving cost savings, productivity improvements, and operational efficiencies
- Comfortable working on the manufacturing floor and influencing at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
