What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Specialist position at ASRC Talent Solutions?
JOB SUMMARY
The Safety Specialist operates in collaboration with other Environmental, Health, and Security staff, but functionally reports to the Safety Manager to ensure activities are in adherence to Client procedures, policies, and best practices. The Safety Specialist is an individual contributor that carries out their daily duties in support of the Site / Project Managers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Responsible for providing subject matter expertise, collaboratively developing solutions to problems, and providing EHS technical and functional support.
- May support drilling and completions contracts, operations, maintenance activities and / or construction.
- Works closely with contractors to ensure execution of their own EHS Plans, along with the Client Development Plans.
- Support and assurance are achieved through daily engagement with Client Leadership, field EHS Representatives, and Contractor workforce.
- Execute Field Audits / Observations, sharing best practices, participation in Contractor safety meetings, and Weekly HSE Leadership Meetings.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 8-10 years of safety work experience
- Work experience in the oil and gas and/or construction industries.
- Experience with Incident Risk Management Software
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related sciences
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
