JOB SUMMARY
The Facility Equipment Mechanic is responsible for performing general repairs and preventative maintenance activities on utility systems and associated equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Maintain competency in troubleshooting turbines, reciprocating gas compressors, air compressors, pumps and valves.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities on utility systems and equipment.
- Inspect, identify and repair mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all inspection and maintenance activities.
- Organize and work alongside installation contractors.
- Must be competent with the use of computers for research, material ordering, writing and updating work orders.
- Maintain good communication and work in a team environment.
- Act as the singly point of with offsite and onsite vendors.
- Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and the general work area.
- Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
- Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Must have a minimum of 5 years related work experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Driver License
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience working in the oil and gas industry
- Prior experience working on the North Slope
