JOB SUMMARY
The Willow Billing Lead will oversee the projects billing group, managing the end-to-end billing process to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timely payment collection. This role will utilizing SAP and other Client software, creating streamlined internal processes, and communicating effectively with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve billing issues, ensure proper coding, and monitor project funding. The Billing Lead will also perform cost analysis, forecasting, and provide detailed internal and external financial reports to support project performance and compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Oversee and manage the billing group, supervising billing clerks to ensure accurate and efficient operations.
- Manage the complete billing process, from invoice generation to payment collection, ensuring timely and accurate customer payments.
- Develop and implement internal Client processes to enhance billing efficiency and accuracy.
- Utilize SAP billing, reporting, and data management.
- Communicate with customers to resolve billing disputes, provide supporting documentation, and discuss project coding details.
- Collaborate with Client department management to ensure proper coding is captured for future billing accuracy.
- Conduct cost analysis, forecasting, and vendor management to support project financials.
- Monitor funding for key Client projects across fiscal years, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Analyze data to provide internal reports on the value of work performed and key financial metrics.
- Deliver clear, concise monthly updates to Client management on project performance and financial metrics.
- Prepare and submit external reports in compliance with contractual and regulatory guidelines.
- Work daily with the Client project team to manage and track cost/schedule changes and their financial impacts.
- Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
- Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8 years of experience in project controls, scheduling, cost analysis, reporting, forecasting, and billing
- 5 years of experience in a lead or management role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with project departments
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Construction Management
- Experience working in the Oil and Gas industry
