ASRC Federal Systems Solutions, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, requires a highly motivated Logistics Supervisor to support the ASTROS Contract. This position oversees the planning, coordination, acquisition, receipt, storage, movement, accountability, and disposition of equipment, materials, parts, and government property required to support mission-critical operations.

The Logistics Supervisor serves as a key interface between the contractor, Government customer, program management, engineering, operations, procurement, facilities, and external suppliers to ensure personnel, equipment, and materials are available when and where required. The position requires strong knowledge of DoD logistics processes, contract requirements, property accountability, supply-chain management, and federal acquisition regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day logistics operations supporting DoD contract and mission requirements.
  • Develop and execute logistics strategies, processes, and procedures to ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, tools, and critical spares.
  • Manage inventory, warehousing, material handling, shipping, receiving, transportation, and distribution activities.
  • Maintain accurate accountability and records for Government Furnished Property (GFP), Contractor Acquired Property (CAP), and other government assets in accordance with contract requirements and applicable regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), DoD property requirements, and applicable customer policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate procurement and material requirements with program management, engineering, maintenance, operations, and procurement organizations.
  • Establish inventory controls, minimum/maximum stock levels, reorder points, and material forecasting processes to prevent operational delays.
  • Maintain accurate logistics databases, inventory records, property records, and supporting documentation for Government and contractor assets.
  • Lead periodic physical inventories and reconcile discrepancies between physical assets and property/accounting systems.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, lost or missing property, damaged equipment, and material shortages.
  • Support Government property audits, contract reviews, internal assessments, and customer inspections.
  • Develop logistics metrics and reports to track inventory accuracy, material availability, property accountability, procurement status, and overall logistics performance.
  • Work closely with engineering and technical teams to identify specialized equipment, components, tools, and material requirements.
  • Supervise logistics personnel and provide direction, coaching, performance feedback, and professional development.
  • Establish priorities and allocate logistics resources based on mission requirements and program schedules.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and logistics processes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, security, quality, and facility requirements.
  • Participate in program planning, risk assessments, integrated schedules, and operational readiness reviews.
  • Provide timely communication to leadership and Government stakeholders regarding logistics status, risks, constraints, and corrective actions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or operations or equivalent experience
  • 4 years’ experience
  • Leadership, problem-solving, and clear communication abilities
  • Demonstrated experience managing inventory, warehousing, transportation, procurement support, and government property.
  • Experience supporting complex test, research, engineering, or operational programs.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a mission-critical environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance

Additional Qualifications

  • Must be able to work at heights and depths
  • Work overtime with little notification
  • Must be able to work in extreme hear and extreme cold
  • Must be licensed and able to drive an ASTROS leased car
