Agile Decision Sciences, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is currently recruiting for a Software Developer Intern.
Position Summary: The Intern will support the NASA NRESS contract (NRESS II) working with the IT team to help document and validate requirements and use cases for NASA's NSPIRES (NASA Solicitation and Proposal Integrated Review and Evaluation System) system. Candidates should familiarize themselves with the system: https://nspires.nasaprs.com/external/. This is a telework position. If intern is local to the DC metro area there may be minimal in-person meetings in Crystal City, VA (1x per month). Candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work with the NSPIRES IT team to help document and validate requirements and use cases.
- Gather and write information about the product functions, features, and requirements.
- Write detailed task description and bug information which can be used by developers and product managers.
- Understand functional requirements and perform feasibility study with development team.
- Efficiently use requirement analysis and documentation tools.
- Create user guides that are simple to comprehend by working with product designers and developers.
- Knowledge of tools like JIRA and Confluence would be an advantage but not required.
- Understand basic SQL syntax and commands, transactions, and normalization techniques.
- Research new & emerging tools and perform pilot studies.
- Participate in new features development and fix bugs.
- Strong English and technical writing skills and strong organization skills are a must
- Ability to work with a team to achieve a common goal
- Ability to be self-motivated and able to take initiative to learn and solve problems
- Knowledge of Java, JavaScript and software development life cycle is desired but not required. Having experience with Python and exposure to AI/ML would be an added advantage.
- Current Junior or Senior year student enrolled in a Bachelor's program (not graduate)
- No preferred field of study but should be related to knowledge/experience requirements and primary duties, particularly technical writing
