This position performs complete energy management services under the KEOS contract.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee various federal and US Air Force (USAF)energy programs including scoping of energy projects, analysis of energy and cost savings, and life-cycle cost analysis.
- Gather information to provide monthly utility usage, cost data management, and reporting to our customer and higher headquarters.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative research and data gathering and identify key themes, trends, and opportunities from complex data sets.
- Capture, synthesize, and summarize key points from interviews, focus groups, and internal meetings, translating insights into draft deliverables and products.
- Perform energy and financial analysis to identify energy conservation measures.
- Use statistical techniques to analyze large data sets and identify trends, patterns, and relationships.
- Use USAF-approved software to complete cost-benefit analysis.
- Develop and maintain installation energy management plan.
- Provide training to facility managers on energy conservation in conjunction with periodic facility manager training.
- Develop agreement summaries and methods for monitoring and tracking compliance for development agreements or utility agreements.
- Evaluate a facility’s systems to include building envelope, HVAC, and lighting for efficiency and improvements.
- Employ internal tools and tracking systems (e.g., SharePoint sites, document libraries, internal dashboards) to accomplish monitoring and reporting requirements.
- Lead a small team to perform and provide energy evaluations of 20% of buildings at Kirtland AFB per year.
- File and maintain purchased utilities documentation as provided by the government IAW USAF formal instructions.
- Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Bachelor’s degree in applied science (Architectural/Engineering Technology, Energy Management, Planning, or related degree).
- Minimum of three years’ relevant experience at a US military installation, other government agency, or similar size and scope campus or set of facilities.
- Commitment and capacity to work in a collaborative environment in support of the USAF’s mission in compliance with established DoD criteria.
- Be able to prepare and conduct briefings to customers, including senior leadership.
- Be skillful in communicating orally and in writing with clarity, conciseness, and persuasiveness.
- Be proficient in using Microsoft Office 365 software suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Possess and employ excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Be able to take initiative and work independently without direct supervision.
- Be willing and able to work with customers and coworkers in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.
- Must be a US citizen and currently possessor be able to obtain/maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
- Must possess and maintain a valid US driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
- Be committed to providing for and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Five years’ experience working energy management at a military installation, preferably a USAF base.
- Bachelor’s degree in accredited engineering or architectural program with accredited energy management degree most-preferred.
- Experience in facility and infrastructure design and/or management.
