Cybersecurity Analyst
Location: Alexandria, VA (Hybrid – Telework with periodic on-site support as required)

Position Overview
ASRC Federal is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to support the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Enterprise Cyber Program. The Cybersecurity Analyst will support enterprise cybersecurity operations for a federal customer, assisting with Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and incident response activities, collaborating with other cybersecurity personnel.

The Cybersecurity Analyst will support enterprise cybersecurity operations for a federal customer, assisting with Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and incident response activities, collaborating with other cybersecurity personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with RMF and A&A documentation (SSPs, POA&Ms, SARs) and updates in eMASS
- Support vulnerability scanning, tracking, and remediation using ACAS, STIGs, and related tools
- Monitor and triage security alerts from SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and endpoint tools
- Assist with incident response activities, log review, and basic forensic analysis
- Support cybersecurity reporting, metrics, and technical documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years of cybersecurity or IT security experience
- Familiarity with RMF, NIST, and DoD cybersecurity concepts
- Position requires DoD 8140 compliance at a minimum of IAT Level II (e.g., CompTIA Security CE).
- Active Secret security clearance
- Experience with eMASS or DoD systems
- Exposure to vulnerability management or SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk)
- Interest in incident response or cloud security
