JOB SUMMARY

The Wellsite Supervisor is responsible for managing and implementing the daily drilling and completion operations in accordance with Company policies and procedures and customer requirements. This position works in conjunction with the Drilling Manager and Drilling Engineer, supervises drilling personnel, and ensures all drilling and completions operations are consistent with safe, economical, and environmentally sound performance goals.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Implement drilling operations per drilling program following established design specifications, contract terms, scope of work, and objectives.

  • Review and recommend optimization opportunities for drilling program/procedures.

  • Ensure all drilling operations are in compliance with client requirements and federal / state regulations.

  • Maintain proper well control certification and be capable of managing well control situations.

  • Maintain and communicate health, safety, and environmental protection policies and quality expectations to drilling personnel.

  • Lead all pre-tour safety meetings and participate in all 3rd party safety meetings and JSA discussions.

  • Check and verify drilling parameters and document material supply and consumption.

  • Monitor and ensure the availability and operability of drilling equipment, supplies, and associated systems.

  • Prepare and submit daily drilling reports and cost tracking on time and ensure information is complete and accurate.

  • Manage logistical planning and communication for equipment, personnel, and services.

  • Monitor scope, schedule, and budget plans to meet project objectives.

  • Monitor, evaluate and regularly report on overall performance against program and performance of the services and equipment involved in the operation.

  • Supervise and provide guidance to personnel and subcontractors.

  • Maintain required communication with state agency representatives as needed during operations.

  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

  • Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 10 years of experience as a Wellsite Supervisor/leader on the North Slope

  • Working knowledge of drilling and production operations

  • Working knowledge of oilfield equipment and services

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Valid Well Control Certificate

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE

While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you.  All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift.  Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp.  Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc.  Each facility will have its own accommodation and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands and work environment requirements outlined below are representative of those necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. A post-offer, pre-hire Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to ensure an employee’s ability to safely meet job standards. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions. Candidates must be able to comply with the ASRC Energy Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy, successfully pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both urinalysis and hair testing, and meet the physical requirements of working in a remote location under arctic conditions. In addition, candidates will be required to pass a Fit-for-Duty Exam, complete a background check, and obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location. The availability of this position is contingent upon the Company’s continued operational needs once training is completed.
