Aspirus Medford Hospital in Medford, WI is seeking a ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR to join our ASPIRUS CARE & REHAB team!
The Activities Coordinator directs the daily operation of all aspects of the Aspirus Rehab Unit activities program. This person ensures that all patients receive individualized activities and creates an activities program based upon empowerment, and supportive activities to enhance patient functional ability.
HOURS: Full Time 1.0 FTE, 80 Hours Biweekly
Experience/Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation or related health field preferred
- Eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or as an activity professional by a recognized accrediting body.
- 1-3 years’ experience as an Activity Professional required.
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to provide leadership in a climate of change
- Handles pressure and stress with composure and emotional stability
- Ability to be self-motivated and take initiative
- Computer literate
- Familiar with electronic charting system, word and Epic
