We are seeking a Radiology Technologist Assistant at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI who plays a vital role in the safe, smooth and efficient delivery of diagnostic imaging care to patients of all ages. Working closely with all members of the radiology team, he/she is responsible for providing a clean and safe environment as well as functioning as transporter, positioning aide, and runner for supplies This individual assists in maintaining a clean and safe environment by performing room cleaning and set up tasks, cleaning the department traffic areas, stocking supplies and performing end of the day cleaning tasks.
The Radiology Technologist Assistant is a member of the patient care team and is responsible for assisting with providing patient care under the direction of radiologists, registered nurses and registered technologists.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology not necessary but preferred to perform duties.
- Previous work experience in an acute care setting beneficial, but not required.
- EMT certification or MA experience beneficial, but not required.
- Prior listing on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry or CNA certification beneficial, but not required.
- Current enrollment in a healthcare related program beneficial, but not required.
LICENSE REQUIRED
- Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
Hours: .2 supplemental, 16 hours every 2 weeks. Everyother weekend and holiday. Rotating between AM and PM Shift. 430a-1p and 1p-930p
