Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, deploy, maintain, and optimize networking components within industrial IT environments supporting virtual WPC systems. This role requires onsite presence to provide direct customer support and participate in on-call rotations (12-hour daytime shifts for one week at a time).
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Cisco networking technologies, Layer 2/Layer 3 network architecture, firewall management, and industrial networking environments. Strong experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and the ability to collaborate with operational technology (OT) teams and cybersecurity partners are essential.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and remote access systems to ensure high performance, security, and reliability.

Design, configure, and support Layer 2/Layer 3 networking environments, including VLANs, routing protocols (BGP/OSPF), ACLs, VPN tunnels, and network segmentation within Industrial IT systems.

Provide advanced troubleshooting and operational support for Cisco networking hardware and industrial network components in secure and air-gapped environments.

Monitor and analyze network performance using tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, and SNMP telemetry, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.

Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewall policies, intrusion detection/prevention integrations, and network access control in collaboration with cybersecurity teams.

Work closely with internal business units, OT teams, and cybersecurity stakeholders to design and implement networking solutions supporting DEP-hosted applications and industrial infrastructure.

Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, IP addressing plans, operational procedures, and best practices.
Required Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure including switches, routers, and firewalls (Cisco or Dell preferred).

Solid understanding of industrial networking technologies, including Layer 2/Layer 3 architecture, VLAN segmentation, routing protocols (OSPF/BGP), high availability, and secure remote access solutions.

Experience with network monitoring and diagnostics tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, and Syslog platforms.

Proven ability to perform network performance tuning and root-cause analysis.

Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
