Job Title: Java Engineer
Location: Pleasanton, CA (Hybrid – Local to San Francisco Bay Area Only)
Duration: Long Term Contract
Job Description:
We are seeking a Java Engineer with strong experience in Java development, Microservices architecture, and CI/CD automation for a long-term engagement. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Java, Angular (v9 ), Docker, Kubernetes, and SQL, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and support web applications and technology solutions.
- Build and deploy microservices-based applications using modern Java frameworks.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and support teams to ensure smooth production deployments.
- Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automation processes.
- Ensure adherence to development, security, and coding standards.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle (SDLC) including design, development, testing, and deployment.
Required Skills
- Strong Java / Java EE development experience.
- Hands-on experience with Angular 9 (currently Angular 13).
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of Relational Databases and SQL (preferably MS SQL Server).
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as TeamCity and Git.
- Good understanding of Java/JEE internals (class loading, memory management, threads, transactions).
- Experience with Object-Oriented Programming and Design.
- Experience working across the full application development lifecycle.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Kafka.
- Exposure to Scala and DSL.
- Experience with XML, XSD, XSLT, SOA.
- Familiarity with Tomcat and Linux environments.
- Healthcare domain experience is a plus.
