What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Install Foreman position at ASPIRE TEST - Landscape Workshop?
As the leader of a work crew, the Construction Foreman must be able to communicate effectively. He/she must
have good people skills to work with crew, account managers, project managers, superintendents, general
contractors, subcontractors and other construction trades on site. Foremen must have strong organizational and
time-management skills; the ability to follow directions; and good record-keeping skills to manage timesheets and
materials. Mechanical skills are necessary to make simple repairs. The foreman is also responsible for safely and
efficiently installing a quality landscape per drawings and specifications that meet or exceed the expectations of
Landscape Workshop and our clients.
All positions are outdoors, very physical and fast paced. We typically work Monday-Friday. Estimated start time is
7:00 am till 4:30pm. End and start times vary depending on traffic, weather and job tasks. Construction may
require overtime work including Saturday and Sunday. Out of town work is also possible.

Job Description and Expectations
● Execute ground preparation and fine grading for landscaped areas
● Plant material properly considering depth, size, placement, and spacing
● Apply mulch appropriately for type of material
● Water material correctly
● establish new bed edges for landscaped areas
Perform maintenance on equipment:
● Unload equipment from trucks/trailers
● Wash equipment and truck
● Grease machines
Physical Demands:
● Safely perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of various landscaping equipment and materials,cutting
equipment
● Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
● Push, pull, grip and squeeze various tools, products and/or items (e.g., pruning)
● Walk up to 10 miles a day, sometimes uphill and on uneven terrain, often while carrying, pushing, or pulling
equipment, materials, or debris.
● Bend and kneel up to 9 hours or more a day
Work Environment:
● Work hours vary and may exceed 9 hours per day
● Work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, precipitation)
● Noise level may be loud at times and use of ear plugs may be required (e.g., outdoor conditions,, backhoe,
bobcats, other heavy construction equipment on site)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
● Proven leadership ability
● Previous experience working with landscape design, build, installation, hardscape materials & technique
familiarity
● Some experience in Landscape install experience preferred
● Valid Driver’s License
● Responsible, honest & hard working
● Basic equipment & power tool experience
● Customer service driven (understanding the needs of the customer)
● Attention to quality standards
● Installation of hardscape including pavers, customized fire pits, outdoor kitchens and custom landscape
designs with quality and efficiency
● Planting, plant identification and other horticultural knowledge
● Operations and basic maintenance of skid steers and mini excavators, brick saws, chainsaws, hedge-trimmers,
sod cutters, edging machines, etc.
● Irrigation installation
● Installation of water features
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership:
- Enforces safety regulations at the job site
- Coordinates and transports the crew, equipment and materials to job site
- Supervises crew of laborers during the major portion of the leaders work time; duties include assigning and
evaluating work, discipline and communicating with project manager accordingly - Maintains daily records of material used from inventory
- Coordinates with other trades as needed for project completion.
- Maintain daily timesheets and absence reports on personnel
- Operates and performs maintenance on vehicles and equipment
- Keeps assigned project manager aware of crew performance and needs
- Other duties assigned
