POSITION SUMMARY:
The HR Intern will support the human resources department with a focus on employee records and administration, specifically on the HRIS and shared drive-employee files. Additionally, the HR Intern will review job descriptions and request updates as needed. This position will involve shadowing HR Manager with employee relations and or leave requests when applicable. By the end of the internship, the HR Intern will have a complete overview of the entire function of the department and how each team member plays a crucial role within.

High School Graduate. Some knowledge in Human Resources or Administration
Preferred Education And Experience
Enrolled in higher-level education or above. Some HR or Administration experience is a plus, or related courses in Business completed with a C or higher.
1 Year Of Experience In Technology Preferred.

Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- MAY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.
- Update employee folders according to job status.
- Consolidate employee records from previous HRIS and employee files on the network to the new HRIS.
- Conduct an I-9 Audit in a paper binder and obtain photo identification to replace those expired documents as needed.
- Review job descriptions to align with active employees. Request updated job descriptions as needed.
- Respond to general VOE (verification of employment) requests.
- Sort department mail and scan documents as needed.
- Prepare New Hire Packets/Onboard packets.
- Review new hire checklists in Onboarding and follow up on any uncompleted tasks.
- Assist HR manager and Payroll Specialist with additional tasks and projects as needed.
