This role is responsible for assisting in the preparation and service of meals, ensuring that dietary needs are met in a safe, clean, and respectful environment.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Meal Preparation and Service: Assist in preparing and serving meals according to dietary guidelines and residents' preferences.
- Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen, and equipment, following health and safety protocols.
- Resident Interaction: Engage with residents respectfully, addressing their dietary needs and preferences with a friendly attitude.
- Compliance: Adhere to all dietary procedures, facility policies, and state/federal regulations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in a dietary, kitchen, or food service role is a plus, especially in a long-term care or healthcare setting.
- Certifications: Must have an active Food Handler certification.
- Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work independently.
