Position: Activities Assistant
Department: Skilled Nursing Facility/Long-Term Care Unit
Location: Marlette, MI
Hours: Part-Time. Variable between 8am and 8pm. Aspire Rural Health System is seeking a part-time Activities Assistant in our SNF/LTC Unit. We are looking for someone with a great attitude to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals constantly striving to provide the highest quality of services for our patients.
REQUIREMENTS:
RESPONSIBILITIES: Activities assistants collaborate with other activity coordinators to schedule, plan and produce events for the residents of the institution for which they work. Specifically, these professionals make decisions about which activities might be most valuable for their audience, then plan each part of the event. They're also responsible for creating a collection of activities that offer different types of stimulation, including those that offer opportunities for mental, physical, social and emotional growth and enjoyment. - High School diploma or equivalent
- CNA Certified preferred
- CPR or First Aid Certified
- Prior experience with senior adults with dementia and Alzheimer’s preferred
