What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse ( RN ) position at Aspire Physical Recovery Center Of West Alabama LLC?
Registered Nurse (RN) — Aspire Physical Recovery Center of West Alabama
Tuscaloosa, AL | PM & Overnight Shifts Available
Pay: $31.00–$40.40/hr (base shift differential — rates based on experience level) Shifts: 3p–11p or 11p–7a — pick the schedule that actually fits your life
Skip the chaos of day shift. Own your unit.
If you're a Tuscaloosa RN tired of the day-shift scramble — the constant call-light overload, the family members camped in the hallway, the admin meetings eating into patient time — this is your lane. Evening and night shift at Aspire West Alabama means more autonomy, tighter teams, and pay that reflects the hours you're actually working.
We're not a hospital floor. We're a physical recovery and rehab center, which means lower patient ratios, more time with each resident, and the clinical satisfaction of watching people actually get better and go home — not just stabilize and transfer.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
- Running patient-centered care for your unit, not just charting to keep up
- Assessing, monitoring, and documenting resident progress toward real rehab goals
- Administering meds and treatments with the backup of a full interdisciplinary team — PT, OT, physicians, and therapists who are actually reachable, not a phone tree
- Mentoring CNAs and shaping how your shift runs
- Educating residents and families through the recovery process — the kind of nursing that reminds you why you got licensed
What You Need
- Active Alabama RN license
- BLS/CPR current (ACLS a plus, not a gatekeeper)
- Comfort with geriatric and rehab-focused care
- The kind of nurse who'd rather run a tight shift than survive one
Why Aspire West Alabama
- Shift differential pay that makes evenings and nights worth it — up to $40.40/hr
- Predictable, manageable ratios — this isn't a med-surg floor at 1.5x capacity
- Real mentorship structure — you're supervising CNAs and building leadership experience from day one, not just following orders
- Backed by NHS Management — a family-owned operator with 44 facilities across the Southeast, so there's a real career ladder if you want one, not a dead-end shift job
- Full benefits from day one eligibility — health insurance, PTO, retirement match
Benefits
- Competitive base pay shift differential
- Health insurance
- Paid time off
- Retirement savings plan with company match
- Ongoing clinical training and leadership development pathway
