Job Purpose:
Aspire Home Health Care is a rapidly growing home health agency looking for a Full-Time Insurance Coordinator(40 hrs./wk), to work closely with the Office Manager and CFO in managing the agency's insurance practices and activities. Position is Hybrid (in-person and remote work), but may be able to be fully remote if needed. This person must have solid communication, technology, and analytical skills. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct oversight and monitoring of overall performance of insurance process
- Work directly with the Office Manager and CFO on oversight of insurance issues
- Working with insurance companies to understand patient's insurance coverage and in-network status
- Working with insurance companies to ensure pre-approval of patients as necessary
- Review of all charts for insurance authorization
- Review of internal messaging system for additional visits needing pre-approval
- Assist with the DON regarding any ADR’s or appeals that are needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree
- 2-3 years experience as a Billing Specialist in Home Health Care is required
- Individual with a strong business and financial background
- Requires understanding of Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial insurance policies as well as HIPAA and compliance related rules
- Requires excellent verbal/written communication skills, ability to independently problem-solve, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and adapt to a fast paced and changing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Experience with Axxess EMR software is a plus
