Role Description The Senior Adult Counselor is a full-time, on-site role located in Cocoa, FL. This role is responsible for providing individual and group counseling services to adults and seniors, including assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing therapeutic support. The Senior Adult Counselor collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, communicates with families and community partners as appropriate, and maintains accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards. Daily responsibilities include conducting psychosocial assessments, delivering evidence-based interventions, monitoring client progress, and participating in case reviews and team meetings to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. The counselor also supports crisis intervention, contributes to program development and quality improvement, and promotes a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed environment.

- Proficiency in clinical documentation, electronic health records, and adherence to regulatory, ethical, and confidentiality standards.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills, with a trauma-informed and recovery-oriented approach.
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related behavioral health field; appropriate state licensure or eligibility (e.g., LMHC, LCSW, LMFT) preferred.
- Experience providing counseling services to adults and seniors in community-based or outpatient behavioral health programs strongly preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Cocoa, FL, with flexibility to support program needs, including potential evening or weekend hours as required.
