What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master's Level Therapist - CAT Program position at Aspire Health Partners?

The Children's Community Action Team (CAT Team) is a multi-disciplinary, community based team that provides intensive wraparound services to children, adolescents, and young adults who are at risk of out-of-home placement due to mental health or substance abuse disorders. Youth receiving services must be between the age of 11-21 and have received a mental health or substance abuse diagnosis. The CAT Team is a short term, intensive program with services typically lasting approximately 6 months. Services are available in Orange, Seminole, and Osceola Counties.
As a Therapist at Aspire Health Partners, your job purpose will be to provide a multitude of essential functions in order to assist psychiatric outpatient clients to achieve and maintain stability. These functions include, but are not limited to:
- Facilitate group and individual therapy
- Identify placement needs and supportive linking resources
- Interview clients to aid in completing their psychosocial assessments and develop their treatment plans with an emphasis on immediate discharge goals
- Efficiently document all activities
- Conduct activities with the client, client families and/or significant others
- Provide regular input to the treatment plan
- Provide support and crisis intervention when necessary
- Complete training in order to continuously enhance job performance
- Show flexibility and teamwork
- Most importantly, all functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to agency policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or other related field
- RMHCI preferred
- 2 years of experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness
