What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction and Maintenance Tech I position at Aspire Energy of Ohio LLC?
Your role in our success:
The Construction and Maintenance Technician I is responsible for the safe operation, installation, and maintenance of company system infrastructure and facilities, as well as emergency response within the service territory.
What you'll be doing:
- Assists with operation and maintenance of gas pipelines and facilities
- Maintains company equipment, facilities, and grounds (operations centers, M&R, City Gate, compressor stations, etc.)
- Performs pipeline maintenance (leak repairs, cathodic protection, clearing rights of way, valve maintenance)
- Operates equipment (backhoes, excavators, trenchers) with guidance and maintains daily records
- Conducts equipment inspections (including pre/post trip)
- Keeps company truck stocked and organized
- Performs light maintenance on facilities/equipment
- Assists with peak shaving processes as needed
Where you'll be working:
- Primarily outdoor/field work
- Weekend and on-call rotation required
- Exposure to noise, weather, gas, electricity
Who you are:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Entry-level mechanical/industrial (trade school or tools experience)
- License: Valid driver’s license ability to obtain CDL within 18 months
- Strong focus on safety
- General knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and heavy equipment
- Basic computer skills (MS Office) and communication skills
- Ability to wear PPE (respirator, fall protection, etc.)
