Role Description: The Preschool Teacher creates and implements developmentally appropriate lesson plans that support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth for children ages two through five. Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing classroom activities, delivering engaging instruction, monitoring child progress, and maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive learning environment. The role involves regular communication with families and collaboration with colleagues to ensure continuity of care and curriculum. The Preschool Teacher will also document observations, support assessment processes, and follow all center policies and licensing requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Lexington, SC.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Early Childhood Education and familiarity with Kindergarten readiness principles
- Experience with Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development for preschool-age children
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with children, families, and colleagues
- Relevant education or training in early childhood, child development, or related field
- Ability to maintain a safe, inclusive, and organized classroom environment
- Knowledge of state childcare regulations and best practices in early childhood education
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
