Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and clear communication
- Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism, answering inquiries and directing calls appropriately
- Schedule appointments accurately using Dentrix software
- Verify insurance coverage, process claims
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
- Review documentation including intake forms, treatment plans, and medical histories for completeness and accuracy
- Assist with office administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing electronic health records
Requirements
- Basic computer skills required (scheduling, email, data entry)
- Exceptional phone etiquette, communication skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Clinic or hospital experience is preferred; prior dental clinic experience is highly valued
- Ability to review documentation thoroughly while maintaining attention to detail
