Position Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate Lead Caregiver to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our clients. In this important role, you will support clients with personal care while also assisting the Care Advocates with training, assessments, and follow-up. As a Lead Caregiver, you will perform all duties outlined in the Caregiver Job Description (Levels 1-4) and provide leadership and guidance to the caregiving team. The role requires flexibility, dependability, and a passion for helping others, along with the ability to transport clients and travel to client homes for visits and assessments. A valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and active auto insurance are required for this position.
Key Responsibilities:Caregiving (Levels 1-4):
- Provide companionship and assist with daily activities, including personal care, medication reminders, and light housekeeping.
- Support clients with ambulation, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
- Administer medications, assist with exercises, and care for clients with dementia, Parkinson’s disease, or post-stroke conditions.
- Assist with complex care tasks such as Hoyer lift transfers and providing bed baths.
- Perform yard work and run errands for clients when needed.
- Provide end-of-life care to families with compassion and professionalism.
Care Advocate Assistance:
- Assist in training and mentoring new caregivers.
- Conduct client home visits for regular assessments and documentation.
- Maintain client records, ensuring all necessary forms are completed and uploaded.
- Communicate with Care Advocates and scheduling teams to address client and caregiver concerns.
On-Call and Flexibility:
- Be available 24/7 for on-call shifts and respond to urgent requests within 30 minutes.
- Accept all shifts within a 5-day workweek to guarantee hours.
- Be available for client follow-up and assist with additional office duties as needed.
In-Office Duties (as needed):
- Answer phones, assist with office tasks, and help maintain a clean working environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Available to be on-call 24 hours a day, 5 days a week (guaranteed 8 hours per day).
- Experience in caregiving (personal or professional), including knowledge of medication administration, transferring, and dementia care.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and solve problems effectively.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and active auto insurance to provide client transportation and travel to client homes for visits and assessments.
- Must be able to respond quickly to client needs with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
