Duties
- Provide peer support and mentorship to individuals with mental health conditions and substance use disorders, promoting recovery and wellness.
- Share personal recovery stories to inspire hope and motivate clients toward positive change.
- Conduct crisis management and intervention when clients experience mental health or behavioral crises, ensuring safety and appropriate follow-up.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients’ engagement in treatment plans and recovery activities.
- Assist clients with harm reduction strategies, relapse prevention, and developing coping skills tailored to their unique needs.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to coordinate care while maintaining strict confidentiality of client information.
- Facilitate group sessions focused on recovery skills, social connection, and cultural competence within diverse communities.
Experience
- Proven experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Strong background in behavioral health, addiction counseling, or social work preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in crisis management, crisis intervention, and de-escalation techniques.
- Experience working with culturally diverse populations, showing sensitivity and adaptability across different backgrounds.
- Skilled in client communication, mentoring, and advocacy for peer support initiatives.
- Familiarity with harm reduction principles and motivational interviewing methods is highly desirable.
- Personal experience with recovery from behavioral health or substance use challenges is essential to authentically connect with clients.

Pay: $18.75 - $26.00 per hour
