We are seeking a Proofer Operator to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As a Proofer Operator, you will monitor dough quality and process controls, ensure adherence to production specifications, and maintain sanitation standards in the proofer and oven areas.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 3rd shift
- Hours: 10:00PM – 6:30AM
- Weekend Availability: Required
- Hourly Rate: $18
- Monitor units on proofer plates to ensure quality specifications are met.
- Verify floor batch time and dough texture for proper forming.
- Set and verify process line control parameters to specifications.
- Continually monitor controls to ensure product meets standards.
- Track batch containers to prevent exceeding line capacity.
- Verify targeted units per proofer plate meet specifications.
- Perform general sanitation cleanup of proofer and oven areas.
- Assist Oven Operator in maintaining process control of proof box and oven.
- Adhere to Lockout/Tagout procedures and GMP standards.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to define and resolve issues.
- Clear and legible writing skills and effective verbal communication in English.
- Ability to participate in meetings and respond well to questions.
- Prior experience in bakery or food manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with GMPs and safety protocols.
