ASPIRA's Afterschool Program is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable **Group Leader** to lead our **Kindergarten--1st Grade cohort**. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood development, literacy, social-emotional learning, and helping young children build strong foundations after school.

- Key Responsibilities**
- Supervise and lead a group of K--1st grade students daily
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons, enrichment activities, and SEL routines
- Support homework time and encourage positive learning habits
- Implement project-based learning aligned with ASPIRA curriculum
- Maintain a safe, organized classroom and ensure smooth transitions
- Communicate with Site Director regarding attendance, incidents, or concerns
- Collaborate with staff to support program events and family engagement
- Uphold ASPIRA values and classroom expectations with patience and consistency
- Qualifications**
- Experience working with young children (K--1st preferred) 2 years.
- Ability to manage a small group with structure, empathy, and consistency
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliability, professionalism, and a genuine love for working with children
- Ability to plan creative, hands-on activities
- High school diploma required; college coursework in education, child development, or related fields preferred
- Must pass background clearances (FBI, PA Criminal, Child Abuse, NSOR)
