What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer position at Asphalt Sealing Company of Pittsburgh?
Location: Greater Pittsburgh Area. It is preferred that the employee live in the South Hills area. Crews will meet in Bridgeville daily.
Pay: $20-$25/hour.
Schedule: Seasonal. Part-Time with intent to expand into Full-Time. Hours will fluctuate based on business/weather. Must be available to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
SUMMARY
As a laborer, your main responsibility is to operate equipment while performing sealcoating duties safely and effectively at both residential and commercial properties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare asphalt for the sealcoating process which includes general cleaning duties.
- Safely operate machinery and work with hazardous material.
- Effectively work with a team of individuals to complete jobs in a timely manner.
- Engage with customers.
- Abide by all safety policies and procedures.
- Occasional traffic control as needed.
- Properly clean the worksite and machinery at the time of completion.
- Other duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years in a labor-intensive role.
- Experience/ability working in extreme weather conditions.
- Demonstrated level of responsibility.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up-to 80lbs. on a regular basis for multiple hours a day.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Prior to being hired, employees will be required to pass a drug test.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with asphalt sealing.
- Medical DOT card preferred.
