Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in construction estimating and must be able to confidently read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and team members to gather pricing and scope details
- Perform take-offs and quantify materials, labor, and equipment needed for projects
- Assist in bid preparation and submission
- Review plans and proposals for potential issues and provide value-engineering suggestions
- Maintain organized records of all estimates and revisions
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a construction estimator
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in asphalt and concrete estimating
- Familiarity with public and private bid processes
