Are you passionate about soccer and experienced in youth coaching? Asphalt Green is seeking a dedicated Soccer Program Supervisor to oversee our Seasonal Sunday Rec Soccer League at Roberto Clemente State Park, located at 301 W Tremont Ave, Bronx, NY 10453. In this role, you’ll lead a team of 6-8 coaches, ensure the smooth operation of our soccer programs, and engage with the community to foster participant satisfaction and retention. You will work approximately 10-12 hours per week at $35 per hour, managing weekly sessions from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM during the Summer, Fall, and Spring seasons, with additional hours as needed for outreach and communication. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Sunday Rec Soccer League, ensuring high program quality.
- Lead and manage a coaching staff of 6-8 people.
- Set up, maintain, and put away equipment.
- Record player attendance accurately.
- Engage with the community to ensure full registration and participant satisfaction.
- Report to the Program Manager on performance and needs.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with park staff.
- Participate in bimonthly staff training.
- Develop and implement lesson plans and curriculum.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in coaching youth soccer.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel; Salesforce experience preferred.
- Strong passion for soccer.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Confident, vocal leader with strong communication abilities.
- Punctual and responsive.
- Fluent in Spanish.
