Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced CDL Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic construction team. Your expertise will support various construction projects, including excavation, grading, paving, and utility work. Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks
- Transport construction materials including dirt, gravel, asphalt, and other aggregates to designated locations on-site or between sites.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Assist with construction utility work by locating underground utilities using specialized equipment and following federal safety regulations.
- Support excavation and grading operations by coordinating with machine operators for precise site leveling and earthmoving tasks.
- Follow all safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation, including equipment safety procedures and adherence to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, inspections, maintenance activities, and safety checks in accordance with company policies.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving within the construction industry or related fields.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience operating construction machinery such as loaders, excavators (including horizontal drilling), dozers, graders, backhoes, water trucks, tankers, and paving equipment.
- Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and safety regulations specific to heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance tasks and identify potential mechanical issues early.
- Strong understanding of construction site operations including utility locating, excavation procedures, grading techniques, and paving processes.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and site supervisors.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy materials and operating machinery for extended periods.
