Luxury Lodge Host & Concierge

Aspen, Colorado
Full-Time | Luxury Hospitality & Private Residence Operations

Position Overview

We are seeking an energetic, highly organized, service-minded Luxury Lodge Host & Concierge to join our small hospitality team in Aspen, Colorado.

This is a unique, hands-on position that blends luxury hospitality, concierge services, guest hosting, private residence support, and property operations. The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys taking care of people, notices the small details, anticipates needs before being asked, and is comfortable stepping into whatever role is needed to create an exceptional guest experience.

Our team manages Aspen Street Lodge as well as several luxury private residences and properties throughout Aspen, including 24 Little Cloud Trail, Riverbend House, Fisherman's Cabin. Properties managed by the company may evolve over time.

This is not a traditional hotel concierge position. Our properties operate more like highly serviced private homes, requiring our team to provide personalized, thoughtful and flexible hospitality.

The right person will be equally comfortable planning an incredible guest itinerary, making restaurant reservations, welcoming guests into a home, coordinating vendors, preparing a breakfast or cocktail, driving a guest to the airport, troubleshooting technology, helping prepare for an event, or simply recognizing that something needs to be done and taking care of it.

What You'll Do As Guest Experience & Concierge

  • Create thoughtful, personalized experiences for lodge guests, private residence guests, owners, family members and friends.
  • Develop and manage guest itineraries before and during stays.
  • Coordinate restaurant reservations, transportation, ski rentals, lift tickets, ski school, spa appointments, activities, guides, culinary experiences and special requests.
  • Develop relationships with Aspen restaurants, vendors, outfitters, guides and other local partners.
  • Stay knowledgeable about Aspen restaurants, events, activities and seasonal offerings.
  • Welcome guests upon arrival and introduce them to the property, amenities and technology.
  • Anticipate guest needs and proactively create thoughtful touches throughout their stay.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest questions and requests.
  • Arrange transportation, airport pickups/drop-offs and other guest logistics.
  • Coordinate welcome amenities, cards, snacks and special occasion touches.
  • Assist guests with packing, unpacking, equipment and activity preparation when appropriate.
  • Help facilitate outdoor adventures or activities when appropriate, including skiing or other Aspen experiences.

Lodge & Private Residence Hosting

During guest and owner stays, our team works collaboratively to provide consistent onsite coverage and personalized service.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Preparing properties prior to guest or owner arrivals.
  • Ensuring guest rooms, common spaces and amenities are properly presented.
  • Supporting breakfast, snacks, beverages and light food service.
  • Preparing simple breakfasts or snacks for owners and guests when requested.
  • Making cocktails and assisting with bartending or meal service.
  • Setting tables and assisting with dinner service.
  • Assisting culinary staff when needed.
  • Providing nightly turndown support including fireplaces, shades and other property details.
  • Restocking water, minibars, snacks and guest amenities throughout the property.
  • Grocery shopping and completing guest or owner errands.
  • Supporting events, dinners and functions with setup and breakdown.
  • Helping owners and guests with children, pets, activities and equipment when requested.
  • Providing light housekeeping and organizational support throughout guest stays.

Our team believes that exceptional hospitality means noticing what needs to be done and helping wherever necessary.

Property Operations

  • Conduct regular property walks to ensure homes and lodge spaces are guest-ready and operating properly.
  • Troubleshoot basic technology and property systems, including Wi-Fi, Sonos, Control4, televisions, key systems and similar guest-facing technology.
  • Coordinate maintenance and service vendors in partnership with the General Manager and Property Managers.
  • Report maintenance concerns promptly and help coordinate appropriate repairs.
  • Assist with property opening, closing, locking and security procedures.
  • Monitor cleanliness and presentation of interior and exterior spaces.
  • Help maintain patios, outdoor furniture and guest-use areas.
  • Coordinate landscaping, snow removal and other property services as directed.
  • Help maintain recreational equipment including bikes, e-bikes, scooters, paddleboards and other guest amenities.
  • Ensure equipment is organized, clean, charged and ready for guest use.
  • Assist with transportation and parking logistics.
  • Support operations at other company-managed residences and properties as needed.

Reservations & Administrative Support

  • Assist the Operations Manager with reservations and itinerary planning
  • Become knowledgeable in company reservation, access and property systems, including Stayntouch, Windsurfer, Salto and other platforms used by the company.
  • Support guest communication before, during and after stays.
  • Assist with guest reviews and follow-up communication.
  • Help coordinate lodge tours and prospective client visits.
  • Assist with administrative projects as requested.
  • Help develop new guest experiences, partnerships and amenities.

Schedule & Seasonal Nature of the Role

Hospitality in Aspen is highly seasonal, and this position changes throughout the year.

During busy guest periods, the role is heavily focused on concierge services, guest hosting and onsite hospitality.

During owner stays, the position shifts toward private household hospitality and onsite support.

During Aspen's quieter shoulder seasons, the role becomes more focused on property projects, organization, maintenance coordination, administrative work and preparing for upcoming seasons. These periods generally offer greater schedule flexibility.

During guest or owner stays, team members share onsite coverage, which may generally span approximately 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Later coverage may occasionally be required for dinners, events or special functions.

Team members also participate in a shared on-call rotation for urgent guest or property needs. This responsibility is divided among the General Manager, Operations Manager, Property Manager and other team members rather than falling on one individual.

Weekend, evening and holiday availability will be required during certain guest stays and peak hospitality periods.

Who We're Looking For:

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Naturally hospitable and genuinely enjoys taking care of people.
  • Warm, polished and professional.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
  • Proactive rather than waiting to be told what needs to be done.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-changing environment.
  • Able to remain calm and professional when solving unexpected problems.
  • A strong communicator who listens carefully, takes notes and follows through.
  • Comfortable interacting with high-end clientele while remaining discreet and professional.
  • Confident working independently while also being a strong team player.
  • Comfortable shifting between concierge, hospitality, operations and administrative responsibilities.
  • Familiar with Aspen or enthusiastic about becoming deeply knowledgeable about the area.
  • Comfortable driving guests and running errands when required.
  • Willing to pitch in with hands-on tasks when needed.
  • Flexible and willing to go the extra mile to create an exceptional experience.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience in luxury hospitality, concierge services, hotels, resorts, private residences, estate management, guest services or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Comfortable learning technology and property-management systems.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays when guest schedules require.
  • Local Aspen/Roaring Fork Valley knowledge is highly valued.

What Success Looks Like:

Success in this position means our guests and owners feel exceptionally cared for without seeing all of the work happening behind the scenes.

You notice the details.

You remember preferences.

You anticipate what someone may need next.

You communicate clearly with your teammates.

You solve problems rather than passing them along.

And whether you are coordinating a complicated Aspen itinerary or simply making sure the fire is lit, the music is on and a guest's favorite drink is waiting when they arrive, you understand that the smallest details often create the most memorable hospitality experiences.

Our Team

We are a small team, which means everyone contributes beyond a narrow job description. Flexibility, communication and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities may evolve based on guest needs, owner stays, seasonal operations and properties managed by the company. This description is intended to represent the primary responsibilities of the position but is not an exhaustive list of every task that may arise.
