What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Builder position at ASPEN SEARCH GROUP?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Assembles a variety of machines by performing a range of duties such as assembling, fitting and installation of parts.
- Working from blueprints and mechanical drawings while utilizing hand and power tools.
- Assembling subcomponents into final products.
- Ensure that equipment is shimmed and torqued properly, per company guidelines.
- Conduct missing items and overages to Purchasing and Project Management in a timely manner.
- Verify and test final products, including internal runoffs.
- Use test equipment to conduct total conformance to set specifications as needed.
- Assist in system tear downs, packaging and loading of trucks.
- Ensure that the redline drawings are turned into the Production Supervisor by the end of MI build.
- Is responsible for informing management of ideas of improving the efficiency of the operation.
- Completing all tasks in a safe efficient manner and communicating any unsafe conditions or actions to management.
- Is responsible for maintaining good relations with customers, vendors, and plant personnel.
- Is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment by ensuring that work area has been unobstructed, swept and use warning signs/communication if otherwise needed.
- Travel is estimates at less than 5%.
- REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Must know how to use tools.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma/GED
Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a custom machine building environment.
- Strong knowledge of the mechanical assembly and troubleshooting purposes.
- Knowledge of industry standards.
- Able to do qualitative/quantitative analysis with mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of mechanical fits and measures.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to fabricate various types of details on the final assembly.
- Ability/experience/licensed to operate forklift and overhead crane.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
