Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Middle School Counselor located in Aspen, CO. The School Counselor will provide support to students in their academic, career, and personal development, addressing social-emotional well-being and creating opportunities for success. Responsibilities include one-on-one student counseling, facilitating career guidance initiatives, collaborating with teachers and parents, and developing programs to foster students' mental health and personal growth. Active participation in the school’s outdoor education program and district events is also expected to ensure the success and well-being of students.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Student Counseling and Career Counseling to guide academic and professional development effectively.
- Strong foundation in Counseling and Psychology to address diverse student needs.
- Understanding and support of Mental Health initiatives to foster emotional well-being among students.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, parents, faculty, and staff.
- A master's degree in School Counseling, Psychology, or a relevant field and relevant certification/licensure are required.
- Experience in an educational setting is preferred but not mandatory.
