Job Summary:
Aspen Legal Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have strong research and writing skills, the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly, proficiency in drafting legal documents, and familiarity with estate planning drafting and litigation. We are located in Sandy UT, but after a probationary period, remote work is an option. Aspen Legal Services requires only 1,560 billable hours per year (approximately 6 hours daily), with a competitive salary range of $85,000 to $130,000.
Duties:
- Assist with estate planning transactional and litigation matters.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research.
- Draft legal documents, including estate planning documents, wills, trusts, pleadings, motions, and briefs, with a high degree of accuracy.
- Review and summarize case files and legal documents to identify key issues.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information for ongoing cases.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all legal matters.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- 0-10 years of legal experience. At least 2 years is preferred.
- Estate Planning and Litigation experience is essential.
- Must be licensed to practice in the state of Utah.
