Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Chef to cook and oversee culinary operations in a high-volume, fine dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring food quality and safety standards, and maintaining efficient kitchen operations to support our commitment to excellence in hospitality and food service management.

Duties

  • Head Chef and supervise kitchen.
  • Oversee food preparation, presentation, and plating to meet high standards of quality and consistency.
  • Manage inventory control and food safety protocols, ensuring proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
  • Plan menus in collaboration with management, incorporating dietary considerations and catering requirements.
  • Coordinate shift management to ensure smooth daily operations during service hours.
  • Oversee catering events and special functions, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional service.
  • Monitor kitchen workflow to optimize efficiency while maintaining compliance with health regulations.
  • Train new staff members on culinary techniques, safety procedures, and company standards.
  • Collaborate with restaurant management on food industry trends, menu innovation, and customer satisfaction initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in fine dining establishments with banquet or catering experience preferred.
  • Supervising or team management experience within a culinary setting is essential.
  • Strong background in food production, kitchen management, and food safety standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Extensive culinary experience including menu planning, food preparation, and food service management.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, inventory control, and cost control strategies.
  • Excellent understanding of the food industry trends and hospitality standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
