Hospice Volunteer Coordinator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to lead and manage our volunteer program. This role involves recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers to ensure they provide exceptional support to patients and families. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience in volunteer management, and a passion for social work. The Hospice Volunteer Coordinator plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of care by fostering a welcoming environment for volunteers and ensuring their effective integration into our hospice services.

Duties

• Recruit, screen, and onboard new volunteers through campus recruitment initiatives and community outreach.
• Supervise and support volunteers, providing ongoing training & development opportunities to enhance their skills.
• Coordinate volunteer schedules to meet the needs of patients, families, and hospice staff.
• Lead public speaking engagements to promote volunteer programs within the community.
• Oversee volunteer recognition events and maintain positive relationships with community partners.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements related to social work practices.

Skills

• Proven experience in volunteer management, supervising, or social work roles with leadership capabilities.
• Excellent public speaking skills for community outreach and recruitment efforts.
• Effective recruiting skills with experience in campus recruitment strategies.
• Ability to develop training & development programs tailored for diverse volunteer groups.
• Strong management skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach toward patients, families, and volunteers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $41,000.00 per year
