Pool Operator Technician:
Are you passionate about maintaining and ensuring the safety of swimming pools? Do you have experience as a pool operator technician? The Aspen Hill Club is looking for a dedicated, dependable, and experienced Pool Operator Technician to join our team in Silver Spring, Maryland to oversee our indoor, year-round, 25-meter pool.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and operate the pool filtration and chemical treatment systems in accordance with Montgomery County regulations for our indoor 25-meter pool and two locker room whirlpools.
- Perform routine pool maintenance tasks, including cleaning the pool deck, removing debris from the pool and pool area, and performing daily water tests.
- Respond to emergency situations such as pool contamination, equipment failure, and severe weather conditions.
- Monitor pool usage to ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of pool maintenance and water chemistry.
- Lifeguard hours with the ability to generate additional revenue teaching private and group swim lessons.
- Supervise, train and oversee Lifeguards.
Qualifications:
- Montgomery County Pool Operators Certification.
- Lifeguarding Certification.
- CPR, First Aid and AED Certification.
- Water Safety Training Certification (preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in pool maintenance and operations.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of pool maintenance and operation procedures.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
